Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and development (new design and modifications of design) of automotive connectors and terminals using CAD software Catia V5 and Solid Works;
  • Developing technical solutions especially in the field of plastic injection molding, stamping technology and die casting;
  • Analysis of tool designs, FEM simulations and material behavior regarding product characteristics or their requirements (mechanical, electrical, EMC, thermal, etc.);
  • Participation in meetings with customers as well as supporting them at their development and production facilities;
  • Global cooperation and exchange of experience with the other Yazaki Locations, i.e. with Yazaki North America and Yazaki Corporation Japan;
  • Developing test plans for product validation as well as supporting Testing engineers; Support D-FMEA creation;
  • Researching market and trends of new developments in the automotive sector;  

 

Requirements:

 

  • Mechanical Engineering University Degree.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience 
  • Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Knowledge of CAD software Catia v. 5 is mandatory and/or Solidworks
  • Motivated to design, modify and improve/benchmark of automotive connection system
  • Team oriented, communication skills, self-motivated hands-on mentality
  • Business proficiency in English language in spoken and written communication is mandatory. Other languages appreciated (preferred German, French)
  • Presentation skills in both spoken and written
  • Willing to raise the output standards to a higher level wherever seen appropriate
  • Flexible in terms of intercultural-skills, willing/able to travel from time to time and having the customers schedule in focus
