Please note definition differences between Intern and Co-op:

Intern:  Student works full-time during the summer

Co-op:  Student works part-time while school is in session. Student may work more hours during the summer if not enrolled in classes. Students may work for a minimum of one semester or longer.

 

Both positions are paid according to current academic standing and job classification.

What will your job be about?

 

  • Drive and report the KPI s according to solid and dotted line management objectives.
  • Work with p urchasing to support and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy for direct materials, ensuring alignment with the CSC's business objectives and financial goals.
  • Liaise with Direct Material Purchasing, EDS and ECS Engineering, Manufacturing Operation s and other CSC Value Creation peers to support each other in reaching common goals with the aim of ECS First.
  • Initiate VA/ VE and design changes enhancing vertical integration (ECS first) and bringing cost saving and margin improvement.
  • Provide expert inputs to double sourcing strategies to optimize supply chain resilience and cost effectiveness with full prioritization to ECS division.
  • Trigger the development of new components in collaboration with direct purchasing and ECS engineering teams to meet performance and cost targets with prioritization to ECS but also with external suppliers.
  • Provide inputs to double sourcing.
  • Close collaboration and good envi ronment promotion with Direct Material purcha si ng team, EDS and ECS Engineering, Manufacturing Plants, Central Quality, Manufact ur ing Engineering.

 


What will you bring with you?

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in specific technical field of practice as relates to automotive engineering, design, or product development
  • Wire Harness design knowledge is preferred as well as other areas of Vehicle Program Support
  • Effectively communicate complex technical subjects and issues to technical and non technical audiences
  • Thorough understanding of area of technical expertise applied to context of customer design and performance requirements
  • Fluent in English
  • Advance level of MS Office knowledge
