HR Regional Manager – Nicaragua, Operations/HR

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

Supports the Operations business strategies of the Manufacturing in Nicaragua in processes related to people

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES

 

  • Work environment, pulse surveys or any other requested.
  • Participation in assigned regional improvement projects
  • Responsible of Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Labor survey Overseen
  • Implementation of procedures and policies
  • Participation in CBA reviews
  • Review and processing massive terminations
  • Request and follow-up furloughs requested
  • Making contingency plans for labor risks
  • Monitoring of corporate requirements (temporary staff, union, legitimation, etc.)
  • Support Compliance investigations in the Region
  • Salary allocation for administrative staff. (Equity of the Region)
  • Review with Central Compensation the application of Bonuses
  • Developing comp and benef plans for specific region or plant
  • Check in review to assigned personnel
  • Performance Review of direct reports ensure all mgrs and supvs do the same
  • Review HR budgets on the regions that is coordinating
  • Provide mentoring support to the HR managers of each plant
  • Physical visits for monitoring and compliance with HR processes in regions
  • Coordination of weekly meeting with HR Plants / HR Regions / HR BU's
  • Attend and monitor the creation of laws that directly impact the regions under their charge, (Labor, Immigration, Public Health, Confiscatory, etc.)
  • Attention and follow-up to internal and external audits in the Region
  • Representatives chambers of commerce
  • Changing Job Description or activities of the HR Staff
  • Termination or HR Staff in the plan
  • Public Relations Skills in the regions (Labor Secretaries, Health Secretaries, etc.)
  • Understanding Political /Social environment in Nicaragua Country

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree, Master´s Degree desirable

Certification Requirements:

No

Previous Experience:

 

Required: 15 years minimum in HR functions

 

Travel Requirements:

70%-80%l, National, and International

Language:

English and Spanish 

Application/Software:

Type of software SAP, Success Factors, Microsoft

On Call Requirements:

On call requirement needed, if is not necessarily complete with “none”

Physical Requirements:

Primarily Sedentary (is the position an office position, manufacturing, heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time, etc.?)
