POSITION SUMMARY |
The QMS coordinator supports all aspects of the management systems audit process through audit planning, execution, reporting, follow-up and re-audit. Primary goals are to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of the business management system, including its compliance to applicable industry standards (such as but not limited to ISO 9001/ IATF 16949 and ISO 14001), customer specific requirements and corporate requirements. Also, the Quality Management System Coordinator serve as a Business Management System (BMS) process development and improvement specialist, assisting process owners in effectively documenting processes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES |
Internal Audits
- Follow up audit plans that identify what (i.e. organization, department and specific requirement), where, when and how (i.e. audit methodologies to be applied)
- Perform audits as planned, documenting the results and the evidence reviewed to verify whether or not processes have been effectively implemented and maintained, and are compliant with requirements, such as industry standards, customer specific requirements and corporate requirements.
- Ensure that internal auditors have the required competency to perform the audits by providing training and development.
- Ensures that internal auditors have the documentation available to perform the audit as mentioned in the Internal Audit procedure.
- Review audit results from internal auditors and provide feedback for internal auditor development
- Report audit results, summarizing work papers, flowcharts and narratives to clearly identify audit findings and recommendations.
- Ensures and monitors the accomplishment of the audit program in a timely manner and the increase of the frequency based on the results
- Maintain corrective action(s) evidence as needed per audit results.
- Utilize problem solving skills to assess and approve or reject corrective action plans, based on the documented root cause analysis and the corresponding interim and permanent actions.
- Track corrective actions through to completion, including accepting or rejecting the documented verifications of effectiveness.
- Prepare information to be presented as an input of the management review process.
- Report audit results to Corporate Quality team (BMS Team) as required
- Ensure that process and product audits are completed as plan (internal audit program)
External Audits
- Coordinate external audit planning with BMS team, external auditors and internal personnel as needed.
- Coordinate the answering of non-conformities in a timely manner based on the timing provided by the external auditor
- Assist the organization in identifying evidence of compliance to external auditors and resolving issues relating to non-compliance or the inability to prove compliance.
- Report Audit results to Corporate Quality team to ensure lessons learned through the organization and Yokoten have been reviewed.
Management systems
- Train, assist and coach QMS Auditors and other corporate team members who have been assigned to support the QMS audit program.
- Manage plant QMS person when applies.
- Analyze trends in noncompliance and prepare reports for management review, highlighting trends to prompt action.
- Recognize and record process waste (MUDA) to promote and help drive efficiency improvement activities.
- Assist and coordinate along with the Corporate Quality team (BMS Team) the QMS process standardization across the company.
- Analyze and evaluate internal controls, current business flows, policies and procedures, and propose recommendations for action relating to recognized cases of non-compliance, process gaps, and general operational and control improvements.
- Consult with internal personnel to provide authoritative interpretations of standards requirements.
- Support the development and issuance of management system communications and awareness training.
- Conduct or support management system awareness training presentations and management reviews.
- Assist teams responsible for performing audits or assessments that fall outside the scope of the internal management systems audit program; examples can include special customer assessments, production process reviews, warehouse assessments and others.

Degree Requirements: |
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 7 years of experience developing, maintaining and auditing quality or environmental management systems |

Certification Requirements: |
CQA or automotive industry standards lead or internal auditor training through an accredited provider is required |
|
Previous Experience:
|
Minimum 7 years of previous experience addressing industry standards compliance as an auditor or subject matter expert |

Travel Requirements: |
Domestic travel is required |

Language: |
Spanish proficiency (reading, writing and speaking) required. English B1+ (reading, writing and speaking) required |
