Position Summary

 

The IT ME Assembly Systems Manager is co-responsible of the definition and execution of the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) solutions for the shop floor, The IT Manager needs to work very close with the Business to support new projects and/or new needs and identify opportunities to improve the manufacturing process through the integration of new technological solutions or improving the existing ones.

The IT Manager needs to be aware of new technological trends and of the IT Strategy Roadmap to promote and propose aligned solutions with the IT Solution Landscape and business goals.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

IT Manager (ME Assembly Systems)

  • Gather and align Business Requirements with a Global Vision, promoting solutions for the projects across the regions.
  • Responsible for design end-to-end solutions, functional architecture, and construction plan in alignment with the Business requirements and the IT Strategic Landscape.
  • Lead the construction efforts, organizing and providing guidance to the construction team and reporting progress to the business and project teams.
  • Ensure Project and Budget attainment in all initiatives where participates.
  • Lead and provide Production Support in case of issues reported by the operation.
  • Consolidate, analyze, distribute and control information for decision making considering a global environment.
  • Investigate global ways to improve the performance of the business process.
  • Establish the "handshake" with global clients during all the deployment process of the solutions. Confirm their satisfaction with the service provided.

 

Specific Area of Discipline Responsibilities

This position is focused on the functional support of MES Systems, SAP, and device integration in Manufacturing areas.  This position will interact with all levels of the company to support the implementation of tools and processes to foster a continuous improvement environment.

  • Supports development of strategy and road map for implementation of the full scope of MES and ERP systems within North America and Europe including solution design, testing and implementation into the productive environment
  • Participates actively in all departmental and project meetings and processes
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems.
  • Responsible for collaborating with key process owners to ensure Application process outputs and data interfaces are robust and accurate.
  • Work with business units to develop IT strategies and to improve current IT implementations.
  • Drive standardization globally within manufacturing area of responsibility.
  • Support and Lead the Digital Shop Floor Transformation

Education

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Related Technology fields or higher.

+5 Years SAP, MES & Device Integration Experience

 

Certification Requirements:

APICS – Desired; SAP – Desired, Related to MES – Desired.

Previous Experience:

Experience in MES systems implementation, SAP or other larger ERP software’s

Experience on leading Digital Transformation Journeys

 

Travel Requirements:

As required, including International Travels
