What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a Program Manager to join our YII Engineering team in Plano, TX or remote.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

What you will be doing:

Yazaki Innovations is hiring a Senior Program Manager/Program Manager. This person will be responsible for managing the development and manufacturing of multiple programs, technologies, and manufacturing plans. The focus of this role will be on non-wiring related products. This encompasses things like electronics, power distribution, power electronics, communication, sensors, and manufacturing. A technical background is required for this role. A former engineer who has become a Program Manager is the ideal candidate for this role. Yazaki Innovations is currently working on several technology development projects. The program manager will be responsible for keeping the different parties involved in development, transfer to manufacturing, and customer deployment on the same schedule and on track. Familiarity with functional safety, ISO26262, UL, and other industry standards is a plus. Managing development to this type of standards is a part of the role. There will be some travel to customer sites, development partners, internal offices, and manufacturing sites for this role.

• Planning, coordination, and execution of cross functional technology development, deployment, and manufacturing.
• Managing product development and the development of electronics and mechanical systems.
• Delivering a commercially viable product to customers
• Managing the development process across multiple internal groups and external partners
• Transferring developed technology to manufacturing partners
• Working with Product Management to execute on a product roadmap

What you will bring to the table:

• Technical BS Degree Preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a Program Manager. Must have managed technical development, hardware, and/or manufacturing
• English language required, Japanese and/or Spanish is a plus
