What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for an Account Manager to join our YII Venture Scouting team in Plano, TX The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

Under the direction of the Director of Program Management, the Account Manager/Business Development role is to develop business opportunities with Yazaki Innovations start-up partners. The role will also lead commercial activities with start-up partners and work to increase revenue opportunities with positive EBIT results. The individual will serve as the central point of contact for commercial and strategic issues with start-ups and customers. The position entails interfacing with VSG Program Managers, YII Product Development, and YNCA functional groups and business units, as well as with external customers and start-ups.

 

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with customers and start-up partners. Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize win-win relationships with start-ups.
  • Sales Management: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize relationships with start-ups and YII’s revenue, among start-ups. Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. 
  • Business Development: Identify and initiate new business opportunities with start-up partners, utilizing start-up technologies and applying them to Yazaki markets. Serve as the lead for new business opportunities and responses to RFQs.
  • Business Plan Creation: Create a ‘Business Plan’ that contains the elements that make up the core structure of the business model.

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • BS/BA degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science/Software Development preferred. Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of or in addition to a degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years Program Management, Account Management and/or Business Development experience
