To strengthen our team, we are looking for a temporary  Traffic Clerk  in our plant in Oudsbergen.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

As a traffic & clerk generalist you will play a critical role in central supply management. Your responsibilities will include:

 

Transport Coordination Responsibilities

 

  • Control and confirm inbound transport orders (road, sea & air) and ensure accurate information is provided regarding incoming shipments.
  • Communicate arrival times of transports to both the Procurement department and the warehouse.
  • Verify whether the transports have actually arrived as scheduled.
  • Control and confirm the ordering of outbound transports (road, sea and air), and send advance notifications to advise customers. 
  • Check and reconcile transport invoices against corresponding transport orders.
  • Maintain transport order and cost files to support benchmark analysis and cost optimization. 

 

 

Customs

 

  • Manage and maintain Long-Term Supplier Declarations and Country of Origin documentation.
  • Prepare and submit customs documents for all import/export shipments, including: 
    • Pro form invoices;
    • Waybills;
    • EUR 1 certificates;
    • ATR documents
  • Coordinate with customs broker to ensure timely and accurate submission.
  • Act as a gatekeeper for import shipments entering free circulation before delivery to the warehouse. 

 

 

Administration

 

  • Manage trucker reception and assign warehouse gates based on booking reference and gate availability.
  • File all delivery and customs documents systematically for compliance and traceability.
  • Prepare all import/export documents per consignment and transport mode (road, sea, air).
  • Execute and print pro forma invoices for export preparation. 

 

Qualifciations

 

  • A highschool degree is required, a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent through relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within order mangement, logistics, or supply chain
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
  • Basic knowledge of German and French is considered an asset
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capacities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Advance working knowlegde of SAP
