Product Line Manager (f/m/d)
Duties & Responsibilities
- Leading, coaching and mentoring the product line dedicated interdisciplinary project team to their full potential
- Identify market trends, developing a product line strategy with associated product roadmap and execution plans aligned with all other functions
- Conception of new products related production capability needs
- Managing the product portfolio throughout the lifecycle, focusing on delivery of both revenue and profitability goals
- Support Account Manager and Application Engineer for design-in activities
- Manage marketing and promotion instruments including trainings.
- Always ensure adherence with all compliance standards and operate with integrity.
- Own the category with full P&L responsibility and delivery of KPIs
- Develop and deliver the category strategy and associated roadmap
- Creation & delivery of annual category budget
- Monitor financial performance of the portfolio through the lifecycle identifying and implementing necessary actions to optimize contribution margin
- Set pricing strategy, tactics and monitor price realization for the product portfolio
- Lead product introduction, change and retirement
- Identify and recommend potential mergers & acquisition targets
- Provide timely and relevant category reports for senior management
- Support and ensure adherence to relevant business processes
- Perform other duties assigned
Requirements
- Extensive background and knowledge of Product Management, ideally in the automotive components industry
• University degree in industrial engineering or similar
- Strong leadership capability, with ability to coach and develop a team to deliver its full potential
- Experience of working in a multi-national, matrix organization
- Experience of strategy development, execution and delivering growth
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence
- 4-6 years of business experience in successful product-, project or technical management in product development projects is mandatory
- Business fluent in both written and spoken English
- A second language is desirable, but not essential
