POSITION SUMMARY

Customer service representative and liaison between our customers, internal departments,  and manufacturing sections.  Coordinate and oversee quality related activities for the Lexington, KY. branch office primarily involving Toyota Motor Mfg. Kentucky (TMMK) customer.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acting window person to customer for information from Yazaki affiliated manufacturing, design, and quality departments.
  • Liaison to Yazaki affiliate production plants for communicating and coordinating corrective action responses and activities.
  • Provides on-site support to customer for investigations and other quality or design related activities.
  • Reconciliation or negotiation of customer quality claim type incidents as necessary.
  • Lead responsibility to initiate and implement quality containment and rework activities at customer and Yazaki affiliate plants.
  • Lead responsibility to initiate and coordinate quality corrective action activities with Yazaki affiliate production and distribution facilities.
  • Lead responsibility to track, analyze, and report customer quality claim information.
  • Coordination of revision of parts activities (i.e. engineering changes, process changes, etc.).
  • New model production preparation activities.
  • Coordinates quality support activities at customer with Yazaki affiliate plants.
  • Work with Yazaki program management departments during pre-production launch activities
  • Direct and coordinate plant Quality Resident Engineer support activities at customer location
  • Technical support to sales and other internal departments
  • Maintain document control at Lexington, KY. office (i.e. quality claim reports, drawings, engineering changes, part listings, etc.)
  • Maintain a working knowledge of customer carlines as well as Yazaki supplied parts and manufacturing/quality processes.
  • Coordinate and support customer audits / visits to Yazaki affiliate production plants.
  • Customer entertainment.
  • Facilitate visits to customer facilities for YNCA affiliated manufacturing, design, and quality departments.
  • Implement and support continuous quality improvement activities.

 

DISTINCTIVE REQUIREMENTS / SKILLS

  • Education and / or experience in automotive quality engineering or a technical discipline.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and instruct teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills (analysis, cause identification and confirmation, collective action, resolution).
  • Strong organization, office and computer skills (word processor, spreadsheet, presentations, etc.).
  • Ability to travel to customer and internal facilities located within the US, Mexico and Japan up to 10%.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of job.
