What you will bring to the table:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency, minimize cost, and improve customer satisfaction
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of best practices across the supply chain
- Manage production performance to ensure schedule adherence is met. In the event of missed production, lead root cause analysis and provide recommendations for countermeasures moving forward.
- Regular review of supply shortage to customer’s demand providing escalation where necessary and action plan for mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement inventory management strategies that optimize inventory levels reducing excess, obsolete and slow-moving finished goods
- Analyze customer demand patterns and develop production plans that meet customer needs while minimizing inventory costs
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance to management
- Be recognized as your department’s subject matter expert by peers and customers
- Mentor and train Planner I and II’s as required
- Represent the Planning department in process development, functional group, or business unit meetings and/ or projects

REQUIREMENTS

Degree Requirements: |
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience |

Certification Requirements: |
CPIM preferred but not required |
|
Previous Experience:
|
6+ years preferred |

Travel Requirements: |
Both domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites |

During customer production hours including overtime, weekend hours and holidays. Extended work hours occasionally required to meet with parties in different time zones. |
