What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a bi-lingual specialist to join our team in La Vergne, Tn. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.

 

What you will be doing:

The TMS Specialist is responsible for administering all transportation-related tasks within the SAP Transportation Management System or TMS. The position will be the main point of contact and subject matter expert (SME) between other internal areas and external providers that access and/or use TMS.

 

MAIN ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

•            Complete understanding of how the TMS functions, identifying its whole structure and data integration.

•            Responsible for user and role administration for TMS users (carriers, suppliers, internal users), supported by the Yazaki IT team.

•            Liaison between the Transportation team and the Yazaki IT team for all troubleshooting and escalation requests.

•            Generate databases that calculate specific data requested by the Transportation team.

•            Attend daily and weekly meetings with Transportation personnel (Engineering, Carrier Compliance, Etc.).

•            Analyze data from TMS and provide support when necessary to create specific reports as requested.

•            Integrate all IT related projects and manage them to comply with the development of all required tasks.

•            Support TMS training and maintenance as required.

•            Develop project implementation strategy and implementation schedule for any future or current TMS projects.

•            Prepares presentations and status reports and delivers to Transportation Top Management.

•            Have a solid understanding of supply chain terms and of the interaction between internal and external partners.

•            Works cross-functionally with international teams to support operational objectives.

•            Creates a positive team environment that fosters productivity.

•             Up to 25% domestic and international travel may be required

 

Required Education and Experience

  • At least two (2) years of functional experience in SAP TMS administration and supporting users in all aspects of SAP TMS systems. 5+ years of SAP TMS and related experience is strongly preferred.
  • At least one (1) years of experience in providing technical guidance and support strongly preferred.
  • An associate’s degree in computer science, supply chain, and logistics or a related field is required and a bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
  • English and Spanish-proficiency in both languages is necessary for this position
