What are we looking for?

Yazaki is looking for a Project manager that will be responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence and support business growth by minimizing premium freight expenditures and maximizing customer delivery.   You will identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of best practices within the Premium Freight management sector. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing premium freight data, performing root cause analysis and finding ways to eliminate anything that causes us to spend money that we should not have to spend.

 

 

What will you be doing:

  • Investigate and discover supply chain strategies that optimize efficiency, minimizing premium freight cost, and improve customer on time delivery
  • Perform root cause analysis of data to Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of best practices across the supply chain
  • Recommend containment and countermeasures to meet premium freight objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements that reduce premium freight costs
  • Identify “near miss” conditions to properly identify root causes
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance to management
  • Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs
  • Carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to support the analysis or information, the specification of the methods, process steps, and the plant
  • Continuous Improvement, and supports assigned locations in a Region/BU
  • Provides coaching and guidance that ensures standardization and execution of warehouse processes and achievement of business objectives within their assigned vertical

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience

Certification Requirements:

Six Sigma / Lean (Preferred)

Previous Experience:

 

Analytical

 

Travel Requirements:

Both domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites

Language:

English (required), Spanish (preferred)

Application/Software:

SAP, Excel, Success Factors and Microsoft Suite

On Call Requirements:

During customer production hours including overtime, weekend hours and holidays. Extended work hours occasionally required to meet with parties in different time zones.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily Sedentary
