What you will be doing:

Responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that drive operational excellence and support business growth by identifying and eliminating waste in all areas of the Supply Chain.  You will identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of best practices within the Waste management sector. You will be responsible for collecting data for waste along with finding ways to eliminate anything that causes us to spend money that we should not have to spend.

 

What you will bring to the table: 

 

  • Investigate and discover supply chain strategies and process improvements that optimize efficiency, minimize cost, eliminate waste and improve customer delivery
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive implementation of best practices across the supply chain
  • Collect and analyze data, identifying root causes of waste
  • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate supply chain performance to management
  • Coordinate and implement cost control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs
  • Create containment and countermeasure processes and proposals to reduce and eliminate waste in SCM
  • Collaborate across teams to identify process instability and “near miss” conditions
  • Validate that process improvements are implemented properly and performing as planned
  • Provides coaching and guidance that ensures standardization and execution of warehouse processes and achievement of business objectives within their assigned vertical

 

REQUIREMENTS

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field or equivalent experience

Certification Requirements:

Six Sigma / Lean (Preferred)

Previous Experience:

 

 

Travel Requirements:

Both domestic and international travel could be required between Yazaki facilities and to customer and manufacturing sites

Language:

English (required), Spanish (preferred)

Application/Software:

SAP, Excel, Success Factors and Microsoft Suite

On Call Requirements:

During customer production hours including overtime, weekend hours and holidays. Extended work hours occasionally required to meet with parties in different time zones.

Physical Requirements:

Primarily Sedentary
