What We’re Looking For:

Yazaki is looking for a Multifunctional Operator to join our team in La Vergne, TN. The

Multifunctional Operator in an automated battery cable production facility will have daily tasks that will rotate between all aspects of production. Material handling, wire cutting and stripping, interface with automated production cell, crimping press operation, additional processes to complete finished goods, and quality assessments of finished goods.

 

What You Will Be Doing:

As an Operator, you’ll play a vital role in our automated battery cable production facility. Daily tasks will rotate, offering diverse hands-on experience:

  • Movement of raw materials (wire, terminals, tape, labels, packaging) using material handling equipment
  • Set up, perform wire cutting and stripping, and perform basic maintenance checks on wire cutting and stripping machine to include cable feeding system
  • Set up, perform manual crimping, and perform basic maintenance checks of crimping press
  • Interface with automated robot cell including troubleshooting and analysis of operational performance data
  • Perform basic maintenance checks on robots
  • Keyence vision system set-up and calibration
  • Additional processes to complete finished goods include but is not limited to clip installation and taping
  • Packaging and labeling of finished goods and cartons
  • Complete various checklist and records associated with the above functions
  • Perform basic quality functions including evaluation of cut and stripped cable and evaluate crimped material
  • Participate in 5S activities
  • Supports health and safety policies. Support and follow all corporate policies, procedures and values.
