To strengthen our EMEA Corporate Governance team, located in Cologne, we are looking for a

 

Senior Data Protection Manager (m/w/d)

 

Your responsibilities:

- Planning, coordination, execution and evaluation of data protection projects with our business functions, both nationally and internationally, including related legal evaluations

- Preparation and implementation of systematic risk analysis in the area of data protection law - Design and implementation of data protection guidelines, processes and controls

 - Development and implementation of data protection training concepts and trainings for operational departments and management

- Coordinating the national and international rollout of data protection law measures and support of the decentralized data protection organization - Monitoring of new legal obligations with data protection

 - Continuous Improvement of the Data Protection Management in close cooperation with data protection officers and local data protection coordinators in EMEA countries

 

Your profile:

- Economic or Studies of Law or comparable qualification - Certification in Data Protection (e.g. CIPPE, CIPM, GDD certification)

- 5 years professional experience in data protection management on a group-level (in-house data protection department, business consulting firm)

- Proven practical experience and skills in handling complex GDPR and national data protection law matters

- Solid experience in providing business-oriented data protection advice - Very strong conceptual, communicative and legal skills

- Pragmatic, systematic, independent and accurate way of working

- Good knowledge and experience with IT-systems, applications and processes

- Obliging manner and intercultural competence - Business fluent in English and German
