Identify market trends of the assigned Product lines and define high level product strategies in order to drive the YAZAKI “advanced” R&D effort and extend the business pipe line Including:

o Analyse the Impact of the “OEM EEA architecture” evolution on the ComBU YEL total available market (TAM) (middle term).
o Define and quantify the impact key market trends will have on the ComBU YEL SAM.
o Identify upcoming threats driven by competitors.
o Develop a ComBU BURM for the assigned market segment aligned with the concerned CSC in order to drive the ComBU YEL SAM extension for a healthy growth (targeted: account, segment, price level, penetration rate…)


Execute the ComBU product road map for the assigned products lines including:

o Consolidation and extension of incoming design requests to enable future OEM cross selling activities.
o Initiate “general market” design requests in order to drive design in of innovative solutions prior to official RFQs or extend life cycle of existing solutions.
o Provide a segment capability plan addressing potential existing or future technical (product & process) and commercial (competitiveness) gaps.
o Drive the “financial justification” for all design initiatives including manufacturing placement.
o Release prices for quotation and own global pricing harmony.
o Set R&D priorities for the assigned product lines/families.


Support Account Manager (AM) and Application Engineer (AE) for design-in activities by

o Taking direct ownership for complex projects
o Organise technical promotion events such as tech- or road- shows…
o Manage marketing and promotion instruments (samples, data sheets…) including trainings.
o Share cross regional product portfolio as well as lessons learned information.


Co-define, track and manage the key vital signs of the assigned product lines including:

o Budgeting and forecasting of sales, profitability and capital expenditures
o Drive productivity improvement plan.
