Manager, General Engineering

The Obeya & New Projects Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Obeya process for new project launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment, effective communication, timely issue resolution, and successful project execution. This role coordinates activities across multiple departments, monitors project status, drives action plans, and provides regular reporting to leadership on project progress, risks, milestones, and performance indicators. The position serves as the central point of coordination for project governance, facilitating decision-making, escalating critical issues, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Degree Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
-5+ years of project management, program management, or operations leadership experience.
-Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Experience with project scheduling and reporting systems.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 
- Problem-Solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with KPI development and executive reporting.
-7+ years of experience in automotive or similar industries
-Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required for cross‑functional collaboration, documentation, and communication with global teams.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Project).

Primary Responsabilities & Authorities:

Management Activities

• Lead and develop the team through performance management, training, recruitment, employee evaluation, resource allocation, budget control, and by fostering a safe, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.

Obeya Management

• Manage and facilitate the Obeya process for new projects and product launches, ensuring action tracking, project visibility, risk management, and effective problem-solving across cross-functional teams.

Project Coordination

• Coordinate projects across multiple functional areas, ensuring alignment of resources, schedules, and priorities while driving the achievement of project milestones, deliverables, and launch readiness.

Reporting & Communication

• Prepare and present executive reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and project status updates, maintaining effective communication between leadership and cross-functional teams.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement by implementing project management best practices, Obeya methodologies, standardized processes, and strengthened project governance.

Additional Responsibilities

• Support strategic organizational initiatives, participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities, provide support to the Manufacturing Engineering team, and perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
