QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

To strengthen our team we are looking Freight and Customs Department Leader for our office in Istanbul / Tuzla.
What will your job be about?
- Ensuring and controlling the compliance of import-related activities with current laws, rules and regulations
- Follow-up of customs legislation and circulars, making necessary arrangements, ensuring compliance
- Determining the import targets together with the Department Manager and giving the necessary feedback to the Department Manager, Giving the necessary guidance and support to the import / export specialist and officer
- Such as Chamber of Industry, Exporters Association, etc. Maintaining relations with public and private institutions.
- Operational evaluation of logistics with related offers
- Optimizing shipping, customs and other operational costs
- Making necessary follow-up and coordination by contacting the forwarder and customs officer
- Controlling, periodic performance monitoring and reporting of customs agents and transporters
- Establishment and implementation of procedures related to the department for which he/she is responsible.
- Training, motivation, referral and management of the personnel that he / she is responsible.
- Has a YYS audit experience,
- Has a command of legislation and procedures of D.İ.İ.B.,
What will you bring with you?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of experience in freight and customs processes,
- Knowledge in supply chain management and cost analysis,
- Experience in using SAP , MS Office especially Excel,
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken),
- Proficiency in performance management and continuous improvement methodologies,
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills,
