Please note definition differences between Intern and Co-op:

Intern:  Student works full-time during the summer

Co-op:  Student works part-time while school is in session. Student may work more hours during the summer if not enrolled in classes. Students may work for a minimum of one semester or longer.

 

Both positions are paid according to current academic standing and job classification.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced Industrial Relations Specialist (Lawyer) to join our team.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Data Protection & Compliance:
    • Support the implementation of KVKK (Personal Data Protection Law) and GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) processes.
    • Assist the central Legal & Compliance team in ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Provide training and awareness sessions on data protection policies.
  • Project & Process Support:
    • Assist in the local implementation of legal and compliance projects led by Yazaki’s EMEA Legal & Compliance department.
    • Ensure the adaptation of legal guidelines to local operations when required.
  • Legal Consultancy & Union Relations:
    • Manage union relations, participate in collective bargaining agreements, and support contract negotiations.
    • Provide legal advice on labor law, employment contracts, and workplace regulations.
    • Represent Yazaki Turkey in negotiations and meetings with employee representatives, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate policies.
    • Assist in dispute resolution and legal matters related to labor agreements.
  • Legal Documentation & Contract Management:
    • Review and revise legal contracts to ensure compliance with local regulations.
    • Provide consultancy on official legal correspondence and agreements with external partners.
  • Legal Entity Integration:
    • Support the consolidation of multiple legal entities within Turkey as part of Yazaki’s strategic initiative.
    • Work closely with the central legal team to align legal, tax, and operational structures across entities.
    • Ensure compliance with Turkish corporate and labor laws throughout the integration process.

 

Required Qualifications of Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in labor law, industrial relations, and legal entity integration.
  • Strong knowledge of union relations, data protection (KVKK, GDPR), and labor law.
  • Experience in collective bargaining and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).
  • Willingness to travel to Yazaki Türkiye's other locations in different cities when necessary.
  • Male candidates must have completed military service.
