Are you passionate about leveraging technology to streamline and enhance procurement processes? We’re looking for a dynamic IT Team Lead to take charge of our Purchasing Direct Spend applications. In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind our IT strategy for direct procurement, ensuring our systems are cutting-edge, efficient, and perfectly aligned with Yazaki's ambitious global digital transformation journey. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic IT Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the IT strategy for Direct Spend, encompassing areas such as Supplier Data Management, Contracting & Pricing, Sourcing, and Cost Management, with a focus on driving efficiencies in the automotive sector.
    • Ensure alignment with global procurement goals and Yazaki’s digital transformation roadmap.
    • Act as the primary IT liaison for the Direct Spend purchasing team, ensuring strong communication and alignment with business stakeholders.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, proactively seeking opportunities to enhance systems and processes within the Direct Spend function.
  • Solution Development & Implementation:
    • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of IT solutions that support direct procurement processes.
    • Lead cross-functional collaboration with architecture, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure cohesive, cost-effective solutions.
  • Project & Service Management:
    • Manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from planning and execution to documentation, UAT, and Hypercare, ensuring on-time delivery within budget.
    • Ensure the effective operation, maintenance, and support of Direct Spend applications, managing ServiceDesk operations and External Consultant relationships.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, conducting regular performance reviews and identifying training needs.
    • Foster a collaborative environment focused on innovation and excellence.
  • Budget & Performance Monitoring:
    • Oversee budget management for IT projects related to Direct Spend, ensuring cost transparency and compliance.
    • Provide regular performance and KPI reports to senior management, driving continuous improvement.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in SAP, Procurement, or Project Management are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in IT management or Procurement, with a strong focus on procurement processes and direct spend. Proven track record in leading IT projects in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of procurement processes, particularly Direct Spend, and experience with SAP S/4, SAP Ariba, and other procurement-related IT systems. Knowledge of integration methodologies and data management best practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with global stakeholders.
  • Communication & Problem-Solving: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
