Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, market research and define hardware-specific requirements.
- Create block diagrams and complex hardware schematics, including HW/SW interfaces.
- Conduct simulations, electrical/thermal analyses, DFMEA , FMEDA and reliability assessments.
- Perform BOM cost analysis and support cost-optimized design decisions.
- Ensure Design-for-Manufacturing principles and manage HW-mechanical interfaces.
- Support prototyping and hardware bring-up.
- Lead or contribute to pre-development projects for low-voltage electronics and interface with Development and Japan Lead Region.
- Identify innovative, cost- effective hardware technologies and monitor market trends.
- Evaluate, select, and configure development and testing tools.
- Participate in project planning, reporting and development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years experience in hardware design for automotive electronic components.
- Experience with Low Voltage Electronics, and eFuse technology.
- Strong background in Low Voltage ECUs, Zonal Controllers, Bus Systems (Ethernet, CAN);
- Solid knowledge of microcontrollers architecture;
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuits, including MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, component selection and power dissipation.
- Very good knowledge of electronic component cost levels and cost-conscious design principles.
- Strong problem solving skills, including failure analysis and root cause identification.
- Fluent in English.
