Procurement Supervisor
Job Title: Procurement Supervisor.
Reports to: Supply Chain Manager.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient procurement operations, optimize material availability, and support cost-effective supply chain processes. This role involves managing the procurement team, developing action plans, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations:
- Ensure the efficiency and accuracy of procurement activities within the department.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs to identify performance deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Support the definition of supply chain standards based on industry benchmarks.
- Oversee raw material supply processes and coordinate MRP operations.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet defined targets.
- Provide material availability reports and support internal material flow systems.
- Participate in inbound truck planning with the transport coordinator.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance shop floor performance.
- Support supplier management, including localization, consignment agreements, and delivery performance evaluation.
- Handle supplier bottleneck escalations and coordinate stock-taking processes.
- Assist in implementing new projects within the plant.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Manage and oversee the procurement team, including resource allocation and performance evaluation.
- Set objectives and monitor results to ensure the achievement of departmental goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage team members to contribute ideas.
- Coach and train employees to enhance their understanding of procurement standards and best practices.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.
- Maintain discipline and promote a positive work environment.
Process Improvement & Organization:
- Participate in departmental meetings and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
- Allocate time and resources efficiently to align with development plans.
- Implement process enhancements to optimize supply chain performance.
- Identify and resolve procurement-related challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and supplier management.
- Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Fluent in English.
