What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Customer Service Specialist/Material Planner to join our COMBU team in El Paso, TX.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Support and follow all corporate policies, procedures and values.
  • Receives customer order requirements (forecasts, release and spot orders) via EDI, internet, email, or fax.
  • Processes orders and forecast through customer spot orders, manual releases, or EDI within 24 hours
  • Responsible for order entry accuracy to customer releases
  • Manages cumulative (cum) quantities to ensure customer cums match SAP cums.  Reconciles cums when necessary.
  • Review daily supplier delivery schedule problems.
  • Schedule to insure scheduled orders are delivered on time.
  • Monitor daily past due orders and works with other necessary departments to complete order or expedite past due order.
  • Communicates daily with internal / external customers regarding any customer service and/or delivery issues.
  • Works with customer and management to assist with establishing recovery plans for critical product.
  • Serves as point of contact with Shipping Dept. regarding product availability and to ensure customer shipments are made accurately and in a timely manner
  • May need to utilize customer designated systems (Web Portals) to download requirements and enter ASNs.
  • Participates in TS, ISO, and any internal audits that are performed.
  • Must be able to work overtime as business requires.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or Equivalent experience
  • Ability to speak, and write English and Spanish
  • Efficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Macros
  • 2-3 years’ experience in Automotive/Customer service
  • Some domestic and International travel required
  • On-call some weekends and after hours
  • High energy, positive attitude, customer service and continuous improvement mind-set and team spirit
