Yazaki Inc. is launching a pre-fabricated home wiring product for the US residential construction market. Designed to a builder’s specific house design, our process pre-fabricates wiring assemblies, called Unit Cables, at quality-controlled production facilities. The Unit Cable saves time and money by reducing the complexity of installing electrical systems to a few simple tasks, making the job site more efficient. We leverage industry best practices and manufacturing know-how to deliver cost-effective and compliant solutions.

What we are looking for:
YII is seeking a highly skilled MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Engineer to join our innovative team as we launch a first-of-its-kind solution aimed at transforming the construction industry. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of modernizing home electrical systems with a breakthrough approach that streamlines installation processes, reduces complexity, and enhances efficiency on job sites.
What you will be doing:
- Reviewing electrical designs and converting them into a manufacturable process.
- Developing accurate designs/drawings that comply with codes and company standards.
- Collaborating with sales, manufacturing, engineering, and business teams.
- Preparing technical reports and assisting with coordination studies.
- Participating in QA/QC processes and milestone reviews.
- Managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Contributing to the overall business development.
What you will bring to the table:
- A Technical BS Degree (preferred).
- PE Certification (preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an MEP Engineer, with experience in managing technical development, hardware, and/or manufacturing.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience.
- Ability to travel to customers, development centers, and manufacturing plants as required.
- Proficiency in MS Suite.
- English proficiency (Japanese and/or Spanish is a plus).
