Please note definition differences between Intern and Co-op:

Intern:  Student works full-time during the summer

Co-op:  Student works part-time while school is in session. Student may work more hours during the summer if not enrolled in classes. Students may work for a minimum of one semester or longer.

 

Both positions are paid according to current academic standing and job classification.

What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our YII Finance Team team in El Paso, TX.  The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 11, 2026, to August 15, 2026.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Project Work: YII Financial Analysis, reconciling balances between companies. Journal Entries preparation as needed. Reconcile open EAG recoveries PO’s and collaborate with EAG sales team. Train in other financial areas as time permits (Direct Profit, Obsolescence, Tooling)
  • Success Metrics: ability to analyze monthly transactions, comparing forecast vs actual. Ability to apply accounting principles in all trained areas.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with EAG Financial Manager, EAG Financial Analyst and YII Supervisor.

 

What you will bring to the table:

  • Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
  • Relevant Background: Degree/experience related to the position (e.g., Accounting, Finance).
  • Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Commitment: Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 11, 2026, and August 14, 2026
  • Technical Skills: Excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, build strong relationships, Excel, Power Point, MS Word, Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
