What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Shift Supervisor to join our Warehousing team in Edwardsville, IL.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • This position is designed to give daily direction, provide feedback and coaching, and define departmental objectives in the following areas of a distribution center
  • Oversees all facility operations
  • Ensures proper training and related documentation for all department associates
  • Plans and organizes associate work schedules
  • Supervises all associates on second shift
  • Prepares associate evaluations
  • Orders supplies, services and minor equipment
  • Prepares reports as required
  • Manages all operational expenses related to the facility or department
  • Assists in the preparation and maintaining of annual budgets
  • Contacts YNA internal and external customers directly
  • Addresses and resolves customer issues and complaints
  • Reports and resolves shortages, damages, and other discrepancies
  • Assures that Customer Specific Requirements are met
  • Maintains accurate department records and documentation
  • Promotes and maintains a safe and clean working environment
  • Ensures and oversees proper storage and maintenance of equipment
  • Addresses and resolves associates’ administrative and personal issues and concerns
  • Assists management in meeting corporate and departmental goals and objectives
  • Supports corporate policies and departmental policies
  • Supports EMS/QMS policies and procedures

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Forklift Certification
  • High energy, positive attitude, customer service and continuous improvement mind-set and team spirit
  • (3) years as a YNA team lead, or (4) years external supervisory experience preferably in a warehouse environment
  • On Call Requirements:  24/7 including weekends and holidays
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
