To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Design Engineer Electrical Systems (BMW) (m/f/d) in our Munich office.

What you will do:

• Responsible for the electrological development of the wiring harness ensuring compliance with customer and YAZAKI requirements regarding functionality, safety, manufacturing, quality, cost optimization, and timing.
• Independently identify potential risks and issues and develop effective solutions.
• Develop and coordinate system and circuit diagrams, including their modularization, using the customer-specified design tools, while taking into account the requirements regarding environment and data quality.
• Implement all necessary components, depending on the deployment scenario and specific requirements.
• Implement requirements from geometric development.
• Develop and coordinate with the customer’s engineering team and all relevant departments on the customer side.
• Create the necessary documents for change documentation, implement changes in the relevant customer systems, and support their product implementation.
• Prepare the necessary release documentation, considering data quality and timing.
• Create working and presentation documents for internal and external use based on customer and/or YAZAKI requirements.
• Participate in internal and external project meetings, both online and in person.
• Participate in product analysis and improvement activities at YAZAKI and customer manufacturing sites, such as cubings, production launches and EPSO.
• Actively participate in all internal and external processes for implementing quality and safety requirements, such as D-FMEA, DFM, Q-Gates, K-levels and 8D.
• Continuously review components used with regard to cost efficiency and prioritize YAZAKI’s own components.

Your profile:

• University degree in Electric/Electronics, Electrical- or Mechanical Engieering
• At least 1-3 years experience in automotive industry preferably in the wiring harness design
• Working Experience with Electrical Design Systems (PreeVision, L-Dorado or similar)
• Basic knowledge of project management and IATF quality standards
• Advances MS office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Teams)
• Good English skills
• Fluent German skills
