What we are looking for:


Yazaki is seeking a Specialist to join our IT Department team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, action-driven environment and enjoys making lasting impacts on the organization.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Support our Data Analytics team by analyzing and transforming data from multiple systems into our enterprise data layer.

  • Master complex data sets, identifying insights, outliers, and data errors to ensure accurate business intelligence.

  • Adapt business expertise to Yazaki operations to lead data projects from the functional side.

  • Transform inbound data into usable artifacts, assets, facts, and dimensions in a SQL-heavy environment.

  • Contribute to the transition of Synapse/SQL-based procedures into a Microsoft Fabric/Lakehouse environment.

  • Partner with multi-disciplinary teams to design and implement data-centric solutions that support both reporting and business processes.

  • Support projects and ensure system availability within the IT process framework.

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • University degree in IT, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong experience in IT projects, ideally in the automotive industry; alternatively, manufacturing, logistics, or engineering.

  • Business experience in logistics, supply chain, or planning (a strong plus).

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python/Spark, and Azure Data Factory.

  • Strong communication skills with a results-oriented, proactive working style.

  • Willingness to travel (approx. 10%).
