What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Sr. Quality Engineer to join our YII TFT team in Canton, MI.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • A Quality Engineer (QE) is an in depth customer contact that liaises between the customer, internal quality and manufacturing groups; coordinates and oversees quality, design and manufacturing concerns for the YII Business Development Group; supports AQP / Launch Readiness support; provides leadership to other team member / disciplines; offers the necessary support to protect the customer from any concerns with YNA/YII-supplied products.
  • Unique to Sr. QE:  Provide guidance and instructions to colleagues using best practices and internal / external knowledge to troubleshoot and develop quality solutions.

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Ensure any metrics are accurate and published on time
  • Assist Management in identifying and implementing actions to improve metric performance
  • Communicate and facilitate resolution for inadequate actions for GQRS items from support functions
  • Provide input to Management to enhance group communications, metrics and customer deliverables
  • Facilitate ISO/TS/AS registration
  • May review and approve quality ARs, GQRS concerns and root cause analysis for other QEs. 
  • May coordinate and oversee warranty-related events
  • May provide leadership to other QEs
  • May assist in the development and monitor the implementation of training plans for QEs
  • May train / mentor less experienced REs on responsibilities, processes and procedures
  • May provide guidance and define priorities in the absence of QE Management
  • May participate in both internal and external meetings in the absence of QE Management
  • May provide feedback to Management regarding REs’ performance and customer focus
