What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki North America, is looking for a Senior Systems Developer to join our Information Technology team in Canton, MI. The candidate will ensure the appropriate and cost-optimized availability of the relevant information systems, applications, and processes for the respective areas as well as ongoing monitoring and adaptation. The candidate will advise and support management, departments and users in the development, implementation and, if necessary, use of information systems, applications, and processes globally.

 

 What you will be doing:

 

  • Responsible for the design, configuration and testing of all A2A interfaces within and outside of the SAP landscape.
  • Provide support, monitoring and maintenance of SAP XI/PI/CPI landscape
  • Develop, test and implement system functionality / interfaces related to defined business requirements in YNCA and YEMEA regions.
  • Manage the creation and timely updates of project plans and supporting tools (resource plan, budgets, planning assumptions, milestones, and deliverables).
  • Identify opportunities to use specific functional capability to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
  • Allocate time, prioritize tasks, and accurately scope tasks and phases of a project.
  • Develop end-user and technical documentation as well as gather, analyze, refine, and document business requirements.
  • Support and enhance solutions, continually looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Resolve Service Request tickets in accordance with agreed upon SLAs.
  • Actively acquire knowledge in the assigned area as changes occur, continuously improve in the field, and actively promote these ideas.
  • Ensure clear communication/ escalation with other colleagues, project / leading managers.
  • Support the 2nd and 3rd level of service operations in the event of incidents and problems.
  • If needed, take over the 24/7 on-duty support.
  •  Tasks that can occur
    •  Service Design: Create blueprint or specification for an IT solution.
    •  Service Transition: build new IT solutions, coordinate, and steer others within area of responsibility.

What you will bring to the table: 

  • University Degree or comparable professional expertise and experience in Business Administration or IT or Computer Science/Applications or Engineering
  • Minimum of five years of experience in design, development and implementation of support of applications in SAP PI/PO/CPI area
  • Ability to travel 10-20%
  • Available to be on call as needed
