POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Program Manager will Support the VPM in all activities for CFT as liason to customer. Manage Tier customers as well as coordinate with internal stakeholders. Follow up on customer inquiry from RFQ to Launch and beyond to support program success through key milestones.  Conduct short-term and long-term planning for budgets and review all processes and procedures for continuous improvements.  Financial awareness for customer/supplier deliverables. Coordinate projects within group.  Propose and check resources (people power, materials, and machinery), planning, and methods (processes).

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES

 

  • Tracking of wire harness project engineering change levels, status reporting, approval status, build schedules and deliveries

 

  • Direct coordination with manufacturing sites for new/engineering change implementation

 

  • Support the procurement of components for prototype and production delivery

 

  • Schedule / lead team meetings, maintain open issues lists and meeting minutes 

 

  • Communicate project deliverables to project team

 

  • Maintain Quality Gates and APQP documentation (with QA Dept support)

 

  • Maintain financial documentation for each project including margin and budget status

 

  • Follow Yazaki GPMS processes

 

  • Provide weekly status updates to upper management  and support monthly BOS material

 

  • Support customer visits to Manufacturing sites

 

  • Follow up with SQE on provisional components and any supplier quality issues

 

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Degree Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field

Certification Requirements:

None, PMP a bonus

Previous Experience:

 

Preferred:  Minimum 3 years of Project management experience

                   Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive engineering

Preferred: High Voltage/Low Voltage related work experience especially in EDS

Preferred: Interfaced with high demand customer at fast development phase

Travel Requirements:

10% - Travel domestic and international

Language:

English, Spanish would be bonus

Application/Software:

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)

On Call Requirements:

As required off hours via cell phone
