What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Program Management (Business Development Group) team in the Canton, MI or Remote. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment, making lasting impacts on the organization.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Serve as liaison to Tier customers and internal stakeholders, supporting all program activities from RFQ through launch and beyond.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with Yazaki GPMS processes and continuous improvement goals.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing sites for engineering changes and prototype/production procurement.
  • Schedule and lead team meetings, maintain open issue lists, and communicate project deliverables clearly to the team.
  • Oversee APQP documentation, quality gates, and project financials (margin and budget).
  • Provide status updates to upper management and support monthly BOS reporting.

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field
  • 3+ years of project management experience and 5+ years in automotive engineering
  • Experience in high-voltage/low-voltage (EDS) programs and fast-paced customer environments (preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook)
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approx. 20%)
  • Bonus: Spanish language skills and/or PMP certification
