What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our Quality team in Canton, MI.  The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 11, 2026 to August 15, 2026.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Project Work: Reviewing returned parts from Warranty, at the customers location, and documenting results from the review. Setting up and leading discussions with program specific Engineering teams to review potential design issues that are identified during the review of parts.  Providing feedback to the customer on the results of the part reviews. Document any Quality related issues within our GQRS system.  This will consist of hands-on analysis activity.
  • Success Metrics: Assuring the results of the reviews are documented and follow-up actions are tracked through to closure.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our Warranty and Engineering teams.  In addition to providing communication to our Mfg teams, on any Quality related concerns.

 

What you will bring to the table:

  • Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
  • Relevant Background: Degree/experience related to the position (e.g., [Quality/Engineering]).
  • Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Commitment: Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 11, 2026, and August 14, 2026
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings. Detail orientated, in looking and identifying potential concerns.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
