Please note definition differences between Intern and Co-op:

Intern:  Student works full-time during the summer

Co-op:  Student works part-time while school is in session. Student may work more hours during the summer if not enrolled in classes. Students may work for a minimum of one semester or longer.

 

Both positions are paid according to current academic standing and job classification.

Location: Canton , MI

What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a motivated Summer Intern to join our IT team in Canton, MI.  The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 12, 2025, to August 15, 2025.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Project Work: Using tools in Yazaki’s Business Intelligence landscape, you will help gain insights that are hidden on the billions of lines of data the company is collecting ever month in the course of its operation.
  • Success Metrics: We will agree on a specific deliverable, typically a functioning PoC of a report, when we discuss your interests and abilities.  
  • Collaboration: Work closely with process & data experts as well as with technical specialists.

 

What you will bring to the table:

  • Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period.
  • Relevant Background: Degree/experience in the field of computer science or related areas.
  • Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Commitment: Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 12, 2025, and August 15, 2025
  • Technical Skills: PowerBI, SQL a plus.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
