What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Finance team in Canton, MI.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for consolidating business unit forecast's and reviewing with business unit managers. The ideal candidate will also prepare business unit monthly and year-to-date reporting including performance to forecast and variance analysis. Additionally, the ideal candidate will prepare forecast/actual income statements, analyze profit margins and prepare key financial reports for monthly/quarterly/yearly reviews. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Program Team on all aspects of financial issues and support all KPI activities.

 

 

What you will be doing:

 

Forecasting

  • Prepare BU cost center operating expense forecast with cost center managers
  • Consolidate BU forecast and review with BU managers
  • Prepare monthly Rolling forecast updates for BU review

 

Month/Quarter/Year End Closing

  • Support Core Finance meetings and communicate key points to BU Finance Manager and BU President
  • Reconcile financial systems to make sure business transactions are accurately reflected in financial reporting
  • Prepare BU monthly and year-to-date income statements with commentary and present status and variance explanations to BU President
  • Report accruals to management on a monthly basis
  • Prepare monthly cost center reports including operating expense and headcount performance to forecast
  • Consolidate department allocations and compare actual to forecast on a monthly basis at program level

 

Core Functions

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors as required
  • Coordinate with Program Controllers, other BU Financial Analysts, and Core Finance to improve closing and reporting processes

 

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or closely related field
  • 2+ years of commercial/financial experience in the automotive industry
  • English speaking skills required; Spanish is a plus
  • 25% minimum travel- domestic and international
