What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for an Expatriate Coordinator to join the YUS HR team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. They will handle information for expatriates, including fostering a smooth transitional environment for them when moving to the US. Partnering with Japanese teams, they ensure expatriates are set to receive their company ID number, PC, mobile phone, health insurance, car, etc. They also assist with acquisition of a Social Security Number, bank account, credit card, driver’s license, housing/utilities, etc. They hold orientation for the expatriates where living and working in the US is explained at length. They handle all crisis management inquiries from expatriates.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Ensures a smooth transition from Japan to US for expatriates.
  • Assists in assigning company ID number, PC, mobile phone, health insurance, car, etc.
  • Arranges server access.
  • Preparing for and holds orientation while coordinating with Japanese teams.
  • Explains at length the process of living and working in the US.
  • Supports expatriates and their family with housing needs.
  • Assists with acquisition of Social Security Number, bank account, credit card, driver’s license, etc.
  • Sets up home utilities for electricity, water, gas, internet, cable TV, etc.
  • Assists with necessary school registration process.
  • Handles crisis management inquiries.
  • General affairs operations at YNCA.
  • Information dissemination and aggregation of Japan and US
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What you will bring to the table:

  • High school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in related field, 3-5 years preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Bilingual in English/Japanese
  • Standard oral / written communication skills, problem-solving, organizational skills
