What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for an Engineer to join Advanced Monozukuri Team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.
What you will be doing:
Validation
- Define validation method by collecting necessary information
- Design and fabricate jigs and tools necessary for validation
- Perform validation testing of equipment, components, and WH
- Prepare/Present validation test reports and presentations
Vehicle Program Support
- Collect current manufacturing related information
- Propose new/improved manufacturing processes
- Technical explanation supports to BUs and Customers
- Process and Cost analysis for the WH manufacturing process
- Application study and implementation planning
Monozukuri Lab
- Installation, modification, and maintenance of new/existing equipment
- Demonstration and explanation of equipment and process
- Participate in planning and organizing training
Document Preparation
- Prepare guidelines, instructions, tech boards, visual management boards, etc
What you will bring to the table:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related field or equivalent experience.
- Travel Flexibility: Foreign and domestic travel required.
- Overtime: Occasional need to work overtime (night and/or weekends).
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and hand dexterity.
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to lead demonstrations and presentations
- Ability to collect, analyze, and share information/data
