What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Director IT- HR Applications to join our IT team in the United States or Europe.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.  This position is on-site in the office.

 

The Director IT- HR Applications reports to the Head of Applications and will lead a global team of IT professionals to support the company’s SuccessFactors suite of HR applications, as well as other integrated applications and Payroll solutions in North and Central America, and EMEA. The role supports senior leadership in driving a strategic vision for the best use of HR technology to create a streamlined and effective management and employee experience. This will occur through management of an integrated organization with self-directed capability, and a tiered service delivery model for over 125,000 employees. The role requires a unique mix of business intuition, analytical expertise, collaborative focus, customer experience mindset, and strong leadership performance.   This position will partner globally with Human Resources on the creation of the roadmap, tools, and resources to develop strategies and meet deliverables.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Leadership: Set the strategy and roadmap in alignment with corporate objectives, while communicating with executives, peers, and employees to gain insight into gaps and needs. Additionally, promote the adoption of new processes, best practices, and technologies.
  • Organization: Set objectives and targets in alignment with corporate objectives. Manage teams and resources, assess talent, and develop employees by providing career opportunities, training, and feedback, while measuring performance and holding teams accountable.
  • Governance: Communicate and reinforce employee compliance to all policies and laws, recommend policy changes due to the changing environment, and establish controls and measurements for all department owned policies. Additionally, support all audits, both internal and external with appropriate data, KPIs, and records.
  • Financial Management: Establish the operating and capital budgets for the department, and manage the department spend to the budget while providing timely analysis and countermeasures for any variance. Manage the department requisition, justification, and invoice approval processes, and establish and maintain strategic partnerships with solutions providers in collaboration with Purchasing.
  • Project Execution: Support the system selection process with stakeholders and Purchasing and drive the implementation of projects with clear and disciplined timelines. Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to deliver on-time to budget and ensure all critical production systems supporting our operations remain available.
  • Other duties: Lead the development of, and set the strategy for new applications, integrations, robotic process automations, HR business intelligence dashboards, reporting tools, and database systems while standardizing the environments across all regions ensuring common systems, data reporting, and system level processes. Lead the specification and requirements for application standardization and system selection in conjunction with the purchasing process, and act as the change agent within the organization by supporting initiatives and promote the adoption of new processes, best practices, and technologies.

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s in IT, Business, Project Management, HR, or related field.
  • SuccessFactors Certification (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience leading and supporting digital workplace related initiatives related to IT Applications and/or management of global HR solutions, preferably SAP SuccessFactors
  • Experience with systems related to core HR applications, payroll systems, talent development systems
  • Ability to lead multiple teams with varying objectives and remote members
  • Ability to resolve complex issues by applying creative thinking and root-cause problem solving
  • Ability to think and act logically under pressure
  • Ability to resolve issues or propose resolutions to responsible parties
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Must work independently and collaboratively
  • Travel requirements: both domestic and international
  • Previous work experience with Yazaki is a plus
