What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for Data Architect to join our Information Technology (IT) team in Canton, Michigan OR Monterrey, Mexico.  The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. 

 

The Data Architect is responsible for the architecture, design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing elements of our data landscape.  This role is responsible for creating management methods and systems to efficiently and securely access information stored in our enterprise data warehouse.  The role will participate in the software development cycle as part of the development team and assists others with all aspects of data management.    

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • As a team, develop and own the data architecture for our data warehouse based on business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain interfaces between our data warehouses and applications, such as SAP/ECC and many others.
  • Perform deep data analysis beyond the technical capability of business analysts.
  • Prescribe rules for automatic aggregation, transformation and loading of business data into the data warehouse.
  • Support future projects by delivering BI/Warehouse data into business processes of YNCA.
  • Analyses software requirements and assists in the creation of functional requirements for database architectures.
  • Identifies and proposes the most efficient ways to manage required data.
  • Modifies and expands existing database architectures to accommodate new requirements.
  • Supports key corporate projects to provide data to improve on corporate performance and/or improvement.  

 

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering/Systems related, or 10 years of practical experience in the field
  • 10+ years of IT experience
  • A strong working knowledge with a specific database environment, especially MS Azure Data Warehouse / Data Factory / Data Lake technology
  • Experience in AI and big data technologies is a plus
  • Initiating, prioritizing, and following up on necessary tasks without being directed
  • Process oriented, ability to meet deadlines, excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to think critically
