What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a motivated Co-op join our Legal team in Canton, Michigan. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and is eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization.
What you will be doing:
- Project Work: due diligence for a potential dispute, review documents and extract arguments; review policies and procedures to correct inconsistencies.
- Success Metrics: successfully finish the due diligence, submit conclusions and findings from the due diligence; complete the review of policies and procedures, and revise the policies and procedures as proper and necessary.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the legal team. Corporate counsels will explain the work requirements and provide assistance and mentorship.
What you will bring to the table:
- Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution or law school during the co-op period.
- Relevant Background: Preferably a legal background
- Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Commitment: Availability to work for at least one semester
- Technical Skills: able to review, analyze and revise documents
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
