What we are looking for:

Yazaki is looking for a Co-op to join the Accounts Receivable team at Yazaki North America, in Canton, MI.   The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.  Hybrid work model may be available for some positions.

What you will be doing:

• Analyze payment details to determine applicability; coordinate with Collectors or Specialists when information is incomplete. 
•  Download, format, and prepare 820 remittance files; complete all rework within 820 before application.
• Process all cash receipts in HighRadius, ensuring accurate and timely application.
• Apply payments and assign residual amounts to debit/credit memos for follow up by business units.
• Troubleshoot cash upload applications to ensure accurate cash posting.
• Track, investigate, and follow up on all unapplied cash and customer adjustments from initiation to closure.
• Maintain detailed logs used throughout all Yazaki business units to track deductions.
• Research unapplied cash with customers and internal teams to correctly apply payments or assign to

 What you will bring to the table:

• Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution at the time of internship
• Degree/experience related to the position – Accounting/Finance or Business majors
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months
• Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Excel
• Accounting Knowledge
• Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
