What we are looking for:

 

Yazaki is looking for a Capacity Planning Volume Specialist to join our Supply Chain team in Canton, MI.  This person supports the Material Planning Team by performing an overall Yazaki North and Central America Customer key Capacity Planning Volume data creation, Supplier reviews & results documentation. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.  This position is hybrid.

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Supports the creation and maintenance of bi-annual Capacity Planning Volume (CPV) data to ensure accurate demand and capacity planning inputs.
  • Ensures Capacity Planning Volume exercises incorporate all finished goods Bill of Material (BOM) content and related requirements.
  • Conducts audits and validation activities on CPV data outputs to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Coordinates and submits Capacity Planning Volume requests to suppliers in support of planning activities.
  • Performs supplier CPV reviews related to engineering changes between planning rounds to identify and address potential capacity impacts.
  • Documents and maintains records of supplier Capacity Planning Volume confirmations and associated communications.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support capacity planning initiatives and resolve data discrepancies as needed.
  • Supports continuous improvement activities and performs all other duties and special projects as assigned.

 

What you will bring to the table:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree  in Supply Chain, Business, IT, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • Previous Purchasing or Buyer experience preferred
  • Understanding of automotive market (2nd tier suppliers, OEMs, etc.)
