Exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of automotive connection systems, working with advanced CAD tools and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in an international environment. The successful candidate demonstrates experience on technical polymers product development and/or injection molding tooling disciplines, while being able to support the design and development of innovative products, ensuring compliance with quality, manufacturing, and customer requirements.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Product Design & Development

  • Develop accurate 3D models and technical drawings according to customer specifications and project requirements.
  • Perform tolerance analysis to ensure product functionality and compliance with design requirements.
  • Apply GD&T principles and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) guidelines to optimize product performance and manufacturability.
  • Support product development activities related to automotive connection systems, including connectors and wiring solutions.

 

Engineering Support

  • Manage Part Number Requests (PNRs) for prototype and production phases, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability.
  • Request and coordinate validations, inspections, and testing activities using applicable engineering tools.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, product manuals, and engineering records.

 

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct component inspections using digital measurement and microscopy tools to verify design quality and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve design-related issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support compliance with product safety requirements and engineering standards throughout the development process.

 

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with design engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
  • Participate actively in meetings, technical reviews, and project discussions.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment through effective communication, professionalism, and alignment with Yazaki values.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials or a related engineering disciplines.
  • Required professional experience: 5 to 8 Years Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of CAD design tools, preferably CATIA V5 and/or SolidWorks.
  • Good technical understanding of plastic molding and tooling processes, metal stamping and basic electrical principles
  • Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows applications.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
