The Finance Core Function encompasses financial planning and control processes, including preparing quarterly and annual projections of revenue, expenses, operating profit, net income, and capital investments. Also includes ensuring that all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). The processes in this group support the decision making through an analysis of the organization’s historical effectiveness and by recommending the most effective ways to allocate resources to ensure that economic value is created for shareholders.
