What we are looking for:
Yazaki is looking for a HRBP to join our team in Kitchener, ON. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. The HR Generalist assists and supports the HR department with daily operations.
The diversity of responsibilities is vast, involving anything from recruitment to employee onboarding to payroll administration and compliance. A much-needed support to senior HR management, HR generalists are relied on for their detail-oriented processes and interpersonal skills to help administer various HR initiatives for internal and external personnel while serving as a point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.
What you will be doing:

Working at our Office and Distribution Center. Experience in a distribution environment preferable.

Canadian Labor law knowledge required
-
Experience leading and influencing a team with common or shared goal, providing direction and coaching for performance and development. Ability to leverage strong interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations at varying levels of the organization, including but not limited to Senior Leadership.

Promoting a culture of safety across the distribution center.

Administering compensation and benefit plans
-
Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes

Handling administrative tasks and conducting employee onboarding and new hire orientation
-
Helping plan training & development initiatives
-
Promoting HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
-
Assisting in the reviewing, developing, updating and implementation of human resource policies

Supporting the performance management and evaluation process
-
Gathering, analyzing, and reporting data with useful HR metrics
-
Using HRIS software, maintain employee files and records in electronic and/or paper form
-
Enhancing job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and

Ensuring compliance with labor law regulations by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements

Updating job requirements and job descriptions for all YNA positions

Conducting and analyzing exit interviews

Arrange seminars, workshops, and conferences based on each department’s needs

Coordinate associate appreciation events to advance business and operational goals and execute within budgetary guidelines.

Requirements:
Degree Requirements: |
BS/BA in Business or equivalent work experience |
Certification Requirements: |
Preferred: PHR |
Previous Experience:
|
Minimum of 1-3 years of previous HR Generalist experience preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry. Preferred: 3+ years of HR Generalist experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry. |
Travel Requirements: |
As required; able to travel up to 25% |
Language: |
Spanish and Japanese a plus, but not required |
Software: Software Continued: |
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with Success Factors preferred but not required. |
On Call Requirements: |
As required off hours via cell phone and outside normal business hours |
